Brilliant for location, right opposite St Andews Square. Lovely restaurants, shopping centre, etc. Hotel rooms & bathroom are very very small! (Something I didn't think of checking when booking) so it was cramped. It is a lovely clean place though with lovely staff 😃 Breakfast is just continental & can get very busy, seating not always available but will become available if you just a few minutes. Would I stay here again knowing the size of the rooms??? Yes, but just one night & this is my own choice not a bad review on Hotel. The full length mirror in the bedroom!!! I have absolutely no idea who or why someone would choose the location of it! U actually have to stand face right up to it and cannot stand back from it because of bed. Two other walls to put it on with a full length view 🙄 Pillows are totally rubbish 🙈 & hairdryer has zero power. Lovely white extra large bath sheets, lovely powerful shower. We stayed in room 202. Restaurants on St Andews Square - Wahaca (mexican) amazing food 10/10 Italian (began with an A) amazing. Tiles pub/cafe/restaurant also amazing.

This hotel is very central to both old and new town, just a 2 minute walk to The Scott Monument and the train station. The hotel is very comfortable and very welcoming. The design is very quirky, with a contemporary style. The room was small but had very comfortable beds and the shower was amazing! The room also had quite a big TV with working English channels and Netflix. The breakfast was continental but had a very good selection of food. Tourist information was provided in the lobby with a button to call City Cabs which only required a short wait for a taxi right outside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a fabulous Italian restaurant right next door to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for short visit to Edinburgh.

Had a fantastic 2 night stay - lovely hotel great modern vibey design interior - room small but spotlessly clean and everything you need - wonderful shower ! - and very well sound proofed - the staff were so incredibly helpful and polite nothing too much trouble - great bar space to chill (great live music on the Friday night) - the continental buffet was outstanding such a wonderful selection to suit all tastes - perfect location for all the tourist spots and great restaurants on the doorstep (we recommend Tiles and Libertines for amazing food and service) - it was our anniversary and the staff had left a lovely card with beautiful words and gorgeous shortbread tin - thank you sooooo much🥰 - we will be back ! 🥰❤️-

The hotel is perfect, the decor is modern and beautiful, everything is very clean. The room is bright and well decorated. The shower is the best I've ever had a shower, the bed is incredibly comfortable and large. Good pillows. The breakfast is very generous and has several options. The location is central and a few minutes' walk from the main tourist attractions. Everyone is very polite. The only thing I would change would be the bathroom door, it's in front of the bed and is almost transparent, which makes the light from the bathroom pass into the room and wake up light sleepers like me. But this small problem wouldn't stop us from staying at this hotel again.

Location is great as it is very close to the Royal Mile but just far enough to be out of the fray; breakfast is delicious with lots of options for all tastes (almond AND oat milk, even a Virgin Mary station); and the staff were warm, welcoming and especially responsive to our needs. Special thanks to Zoltan, Gosia, and Johnathan for assisting in a room change, holding baggage after check out and overall making us feel very welcome. Side note: I liked the amount of art on the property - entry, breakfast room/bar, hallways, rooms all had interesting things to look at. Included is a pic of a special friend on the rooms’s ceiling, we of course called her Hedwig.
